Pastor George Valco
intrerim pastor
After 48 years of full-time ministry, including 22 years as Lead Pastor of Calvary Temple in Philadelphia and five years as staff pastor at Citylife Church, pastor Valco has transitioned to the ministry of serving as the Interim Pastor here at Parkview. It was here in Newark Teen Challenge that pastor Valco first felt the call to preach the gospel. He grew up in South Philly and came to Christ as a teenager at Teen Challenge. He has been married to Ruth for over 45 years; they have two adult children and two grandchildren, who Pastor George says are the joy of his life. His greatest passion is to communicate God’s Word and lead others to transformation in Christ.
Favorite Food:
I connected with many cultures and enjoyed many cuisines during the ten years I spent living in New York City . . . Greek and Colombian foods are my favorites.
Favorite Book:
The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah by Alfred Edersheim
Life Motto:
“To know Him by the Spirit and by the Spirit to make Him known.”
Favorite Sport:
Baseball. I became a dedicated Yankees fan while living in New York City, but I still root for the Phillies, too.

Fun Fact:
My first-time sport fishing I caught a 140-pound striped marlin.
Jeremy WOOTEN
Worship PASTOR
Jeremy grew up in church his whole life and gave his life to Christ at
age 15. Later that year he was water baptized. In the years following
he began to feel the call of God on his life for worship ministry. He
then enrolled, was accepted, and graduated from the University of Valley
Forge with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Worship Leading. Jeremy’s
passion is flowing with the Holy Spirit during worship and chasing after
his presence.
