Dear Parkview Church Family,

We will be continually sending out updates as our situation changes on a daily basis.

I’m sure you are all thinking about what is going on in our world as it pertains to the Coronavirus. It’s hard not to think about it as we see it everywhere in news and social media etc. We want to encourage everyone during this time to be prayerful. Let’s be in prayer for those who are affected in any way by this situation. Let’s also be praying that God would bring peace and comfort during this time. Let’s believe that God can use this situation for the good of His kingdom and for hearts to be turned toward Him.

With the heightened awareness and public concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) as well as the ongoing seasonal flu virus and common cold, we want to assure you that public health and safety concerns for our congregation and staff are our highest priority. At Parkview, we are very intentional about providing clean, sanitary, and safe environments for people to meet and worship God.

We have enhanced our already-thorough cleaning procedures. In addition to normal cleaning routines, a more comprehensive sanitizing and disinfecting routine has been established, using products registered by the EPA to eliminate elevated toxins. Our facilities staff will continually clean throughout and between services to wipe down various touch points such as doorknobs, handrails, faucets, etc. We are providing our staff and volunteers information recommended by the CDC on how to stop the spread of germs (covering cough and sneeze; avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth; and proper handwashing).

While we realize no public environment is 100% safe, we take every precaution and safety measure possible and are diligent in our nationally recognized International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) training procedures with our custodial staff in regard to proper cleaning standards and sanitation. We encourage you to wash your hands frequently and to refrain from simple actions such as shaking hands.

The primary tactic of the enemy is fear. Yet, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. [2 Timothy 1:7]. As a church, we aim to be proactive and use wisdom while continuing to declare the love of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit in these times.

As of today, Monday, March 17, these are the changes that we have made to our Service Schedule:

  • We will continue to keep you updated about future gatherings as the situation develops. We are so grateful for your patience and flexibility as we monitor the situation in our region.

Please know that Denise and I are praying that you experience God’s perfect peace today, and in the weeks to come. In times of turmoil, we anchor our hope and confidence in God and in His Word. Here is a promise for times such as these:

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. … Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence

(Psalm 91:1, 3)

Love you all,

Pastor Chris & Denise Dito
